Groundbreaking progress at JOOUST Achiego Campus

JOOUST is set to benefit from the Construction of University Student Accommodation with Social Amenities and Infrastructure at Achiego Campus, Bondo Constituency, Siaya County (Tender No. MLPWHUD/SDHUD/AHP/533/2024–2025). The project, implemented by the Ministry of Lands, Public Works, Housing and Urban Development through the State Department for Housing and Urban Development, will deliver modern G+14 and G+9 hostel blocks with a combined capacity of over 2,000 students. The development will include quad and single bed units, shops, dining facilities, a laundromat, and enhanced amenities such as a guardhouse, powerhouse, basketball court, roadworks, sewer systems, borehole, underground water tank, and wastewater treatment plant. Executed by Jinsha and Ibel Construction and Engineering Ltd JV, the 24-month initiative underscores JOOUST’s commitment to strengthening student welfare, expanding accommodation capacity, and advancing infrastructure development in Siaya County.
