University of Notre Dame Scholar Visits JOOUST to Boost African Research Collaborations
Prof. Gabriel Burks, Associate Professor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Notre Dame and a leading expert in polymer science with a focus on mitigating the toxic effects of microplastics, visited Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology (JOOUST). He is keen on fostering research linkages with African scholars and is a co-recipient of the Food Equity and Agriculture through Sustainable Technologies (ND-FEAST) grant, in collaboration with Dr. Richard Magwanga, Head of Extension and Outreach at JOOUST, and Dr. Bramwel Wanjala of KALRO. During his visit, Prof. Burks was warmly received by Prof. Denis Ochuodho, Acting Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academics, Student Affairs and Research (ASAR).
