From Training to Transformation: Institutionalizing Transparent and Reproducible Research at JOOUST

We successfully concluded a Transparency and Reproducibility training at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology (JOOUST), in collaboration with the Berkeley Initiative for Transparency in the Social Sciences (BITSS), bringing together champions from across Schools, the Directorate of Research, Innovation and Extension ,Board of Post  Graduate Studies and The Library.
The training focused on promoting transparency and reproducibility across the research lifecycle, strengthening research rigor, credibility, and impact.
The strong engagement and cross-unit collaboration mark an important step toward institutionalizing open, trustworthy, and high-quality research at JOOUST.

 Next step: translating these lessons into curriculum integration, supervision practice, and supportive institutional policies.Thank you to all participants and partners for leading this change.
