Irine Nanzala Lumatete, CPA, CS
We are privileged to announce the appointment of Ms. Irine Nanzala Lumatete, CPA, CS as the Chief Finance Officer at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology (JOOUST).
Irine Nanzala Lumatete, CPA, CS is a senior Public Finance Management practitioner with more than 17 years of experience in budgeting and financial planning and compliance in Kenya's public and higher education sectors. She holds an MBA in Finance, Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and is currently pursuing a PhD in Accounting at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology.
Irine has held key financial leadership roles for various institutions, including being an Internal Auditor for Kenya Institute of Special Education (KISE) and Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), Deputy Finance Officer for Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST)and Finance Officer for Kaimosi Friends University (KAFU). Her financial leadership abilities have led to strategic institutional changes, policy development, and operational efficiency. She is also a Certified Trustee of Kenya and was Chairperson of KAFUCO SRBS where the Scheme grew exponentially during her tenure.
A dedicated ICPAK Western Branch mentor, Irine remains actively involved in future accountants' professional development. She is also a published financial governance and regulatory system researcher, influencing Kenya's higher education best practice sector.
With membership in ICPAK, the Institute of Internal Auditors, and the Institute of Certified Secretaries (ICS), Irine's integrity, excellence, and leadership make her a worthy addition to policy formulation and financial management of JOOUST.
